      Hallo Leute!

      From some time I've been thinking on building my own reeds, the thing is, I don't know how to start

      I understand that reeds (even the plastic ones) reacts to weather and humidity, being a factor for a better tuning
      Currently I'm using a Güntzel marktsack with plastic reeds, I don't have any problem in terms of playing, the only issue is the tuning, I found that reeds (obviously) are calibrated to work with Germany's weather, and this weather (that it's mostly oceanic) is different from the weather where I live (Jalisco, Mexico) which is mostly Subhumid-warm.

      That's whay I'm looking for instruccions to build reeds, if someone can share this with me, it would be a great help

      I myself work according to this method, originally intended for Scottish bagpipes, but reeds with this size also work very well in market bags.
      If you make them yourself at home, the intonation with regard to climate is also no longer a problem.
      You do have to make a number of them, before you have a reed that also really plays well; practice makes perfect.
      Don't lose heart Malek, with practice you will definitely achieve good results :thumbsup:

      Thank you very much! I'm going to check it out and lucky me I have some tubes from previous reeds , the only thing that I need is to know what kind of plastic is the best, I was told that the plastic of the cream pots could help, but the ones here in Mexico are very thick, some time ago a builder gave me the name of the plastic, is the same (or almost the same) that Güntzel uses, and it's sold on Etsy, but I cannot remember the name, anyway with this you helped me a lot
